2009 Mets Battle cry

“It takes more than five superstars to win a World Series. Tonight was a total team effort. Stokes comes in, in that situation, and gets the best hitter in baseball to hit in to a double play. That’s what it’s going to take, you know. Fernando Martinez gets on a plane, shows up in the seventh, and gets a bunt down… Murphy hits a home run. You know, it’s a total team effort. If you’re gonna talk about team wins, tonight was a great example and that’s what we need to do.” : source Metsblog

Castro should return tonight....

Ramon Castro was sidelined at the end of August with a leg injury, it's the third year in a row that Castro has been on the disabled list late in the season. While his bat is very nice to have especially from a back-up catcher, I wonder moving forward if the injury risk is becoming more of a liability then his offense is an asset. His return wont effect the roster and now that the Mets are carrying four catchers, which means he can be used as a right handed pinch hitter more often....

It's likely Ramon Castro (strained right quadriceps) will come off the disabled list for tonight's game. Castro has been on the DL since Aug. 27. source Daily News
