Trot finding his swing.....

OF Trot Nixon was suppose to be out for the rest season but the hernia operation he underwent is now only a three week recovery process. Nixon is rehabbing in New Orleans and will be recalled at roster expansion. Since he's on the DL, he will be eligible for the playoff roster if the team makes the post season and thinks the veteran outfielder has something to contribute. I've always liked Nixon and think he will help the younger players handle the pressure of a pennant race. Tonight for the Zephyrs he hit a two run homer and is batting .308 over all.

"When you get hurt and you get put on the 15-day disabled list, that's one thing, but when you're out a month or two months, it kind of wears on you mentally," Nixon said. "It's kind of tedious and it can definitely play with your mind, but I've been through enough now that I know what I need to do, and that's to continue to get some (at-bats) and keep getting better so I can come back up in September." source NOLA.com
