The Denver Post is reporting a quote from Newsday of Jerry Manuel speaking about Matt Holliday. I have to agree with Manuel, Holliday would be a huge asset to this team but the Mets don't have the players to pull the deal off. Plus there are other teams that are very interested in Holliday, the Angels are willing to move Gary Matthews Jr to make room for Holliday just as an example......
His team in need of outfield help given the uncertain health of Ryan Church and Moises Alou, Mets manager Jerry Manuel revealed his affection for Matt Holliday, who extended his hitting streak to 12 games. "It's kind of a ticklish situation. If you go and get Holliday, I can take that. I think I can find him a spot," he told Newsday. source Denver post

jerry obviously has not seen holliday's home/road splits. holliday's a mistake. DO NOT GET HIM.
home/road splits? Despite the fact that he's better at Coors..which, c'mon, it's Coors, he still has great numbers on the road. It'd be a huge mistake not to get him.
