Pagan may need surgery

Well if the Mets thought it was a matter of holding on until the injured got healthy, they need to re-think their trade dead-line priorities. Alou can't be counted on, Chavez shouldn't be a starter, Nixon should also be a bench player and now we find out that Angel Pagan may need surgery. There is no question that the Mets need to acquire an outfielder before the trade deadline. While many saw Pagan as another fourth outfielder, if you have three fourth outfielders ( Nixon, Chavez, Pagan) and a healthy Church I could live with that but right now your once again hoping Alou has something left in the tank. I feel bad for Pagan he had such a great spring training and then the play he was injured on was tremendous, but it may have cost him the season.
