Matt Cerrone of Metsblog reported on a Jayson Stark report that the DBacks may make Chad Tracy available when he comes off the disabled list. Tracy is a 27 y/o, left handed 1B/3B/LF with a career BA .288. Tracy is out of options and the DBacks who have the best record in the league may not want to mess with the team chemistry by moving a player to make room for him. Tracy is an up and coming player who before his injury last year was battling for playing time with Jackson and Reynolds. He would now be replacing super utility and club house favorite Chris Burke. While I'd like to have the Tracy on the bench this year and then replace Delgado next year, I'm not sure if we could come up with the prospects for a trade....
In his latest Rumblings & Grumblings column for ESPN.com, Jayson Stark writes: “We continue to hear talk that Arizona will look to move Chad Tracy once he comes off the disabled list and gets back in the big league flow. But one NL executive says he can’t see why the Diamondbacks would trade a guy who helps fill one of their few needs.” source Metsblog
