Team to beat

Carlos Beltran balky knees and all had a message for Jimmy Rollins.


``This year, tell Jimmy Rollins we are the team to beat,’’ Beltran said, referring to the rival Phillies’ brash-talking MVP shortstop.


``Without Santana, we felt we had a chance to win our division last year,’’ Beltran said. ``With him now, I have no doubt we’re going to win our division. I have no doubt about that. We have what it takes. We have good chemistry, and he fits great.’’ source NY Post


It's nice to see Beltran with confidence and a little attitude, not only after the collapse but because it's Beltran who many complain lacks passion. While not outwardly emotional I do believe he plays with more then just talent alone, but I think he becomes overly concerned with bumps and bruises which cause him to be overly cautious at times. He will be slowed during spring training as his knees recover from off- season surgery...........
